Kahnawake Gaming Commission Announces Changes

Changes made to the self-exclusion process and dispute resolution are positive steps for players.

Two important changes have been announced by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

The first is regarding player self-exclusion. Players now give self-exclusion instructions directly to the Commission. To make this process simple, the Commission's website has a self-exclusion page, complete with e-mail address and an online form.

Requests regarding one specific casino will be forwarded to that casino, which will send notification to the player and the Commission. If the request concerns all Commission licensed casinos, a Comprehensive Self Exclusion Directive is e-mailed to all licensees. Players must notify the Commission if any casino fails to follow this directive.

The second change concerns the dispute resolution process. A Dispute Resolution officer has been appointed, and a complaints e-mail address and complaints option on the Feedback section of the site set up.

A written complaint to the Commission will be acknowledged within 24 hours, then reviewed and investigated. The casino under investigation must respond within seven days. After any additional information is submitted, the Commission will announce its decision
